Year of Graduation: 2024

For several years, the Russian government has prioritized addressing environmental pollution. With the heavy traffic on the roads, shifting to environmentally friendly modes of transport is a vital step towards a green economy. Our goal is to contribute to this area by researching and detailing the transition process to eco-friendly transport in Russia, considering international practices. Our research primarily focuses on: 1) Eco-friendly transport in Russia as a phenomenon. 2) The benefits of green transport in Russia. 3) The characteristics of the transition to eco-friendly transport in Russia. We will use public transport volume data as an additional efficiency criterion and profitability data as the main criterion. Our methodology includes correlation tables, standard OLS regression, multiple OLS regression, and instrumental variables OLS. We aim to evaluate the effectiveness of green transport development in Russia and identify the barriers to its progress. The findings will provide insights into measures that can improve the environmental situation in the country.
