In the rapidly developing world of informational technologies, it is important to understand the influence automation systems have over companies. It is a matter of great importance both for companies and investors, who can receive benefits as well as losses as the result of incorporation. The goal of this research is to answer the following question: "Is the announcement of ERP-system incorporation significant for the investors?". The evaluation of reaction is explored with the implementation of Event Study Analysis. The sample includes various large Russian companies that announced the system implementation and whose shares are listed on the Moscow Stock Exchange. The results do not allow us to clearly confirm that investors percept such signals in any particular way, except for the signals from conditionally "unhealthy" companies.
