Urban development and changes in infrastructure are an integral part of urbanization. Urban logistics is full of complex problems that open up opportunities to find modern solutions. The purpose of this work is to analyze the urban structure of the large Russian city of St. Petersburg and develop proposals for the development of optimal river transport routes. As a result of the work, a list of recommendations will be developed to improve the functionality of urban transport with further assessment of the expected results from AnyLogic. This research can be used for future research in the field of urban logistics and has practical value for business and government representatives in this area.
