Recently, cell phones have become an integral part of our lives. For a long time now, the smartphone has become not only an apparatus for calls and sms messages, but also a device that you simply cannot do without. Today smartphones are used to access the Internet, communicate in social networks, work with e-mail, watch videos and listen to music. They can be used for shopping, managing finances, fitness and health monitoring. The trend toward mobilization is also affecting education – the number of users of education apps has nearly doubled between 2019 and 2022 and the market is projected to continue to grow. Nevertheless, the market for education apps in Russia remains quite limited. Among HSE apps, HSE App X stands out – a useful and convenient application. But it does not offer functions for uniting students in projects and does not facilitate inter-faculty communication and exchange of ideas. Many students from different faculties live in the hostels, which creates a great environment for collaboration and communication. My goal is to develop a mobile application that will be a convenient "social network"for those living in the dormitories. Within the framework of this project I will develop a mobile application for the Android OS for the dormitories of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, which will allow users to view news, schedule of work of gyms and castellanums, as well as participate in various activities and search for a team for projects. It is also necessary to develop an application for admins and moderators. The app should meet the security standards of data storage. The UI of the application should be user-friendly and intuitive for users.
