Practices for preparing procedural documents: standerd and (or) effective

This study aims to explain to lawyers the purpose and significance of legal design in procedural documents and why it is important for modern practice. The work explores concepts such as typography and layout. The author set out to determine why typography is necessary in procedural documents, clarify why lawyers should format their text, establish the requirements for procedural documents, examine the common appearance of procedural documents, analyze the most prevalent formatting practices, and provide recommendations for the design of procedural documents. The object of the study comprised procedural documents used in judicial processes. The subject of the study was the features and practices of their design. To achieve the stated goal and address the objectives, the author researched regulatory legal acts, studied the practices of formatting procedural documents, and compared various approaches to the design of procedural documents. The analysis of procedural document formatting practices revealed several common issues, such as insufficient attention to their visual design, the use of standard templates, and limited time for document formatting due to high workload. The author described the main techniques used for formatting procedural documents, examined mandatory and effective formatting practices through examples, and proposed their own design for a procedural document. This study will enable lawyers and other legal professionals to recognize the importance of effective document design and the application of legal design principles. The recommendations made within this work will be used to improve the quality and effectiveness of procedural documents.
