The export of Russian energy resources is a critically important area of Russia's foreign economic activity, and the diversification of Russian energy exports is the key to stable growth of the Russian economy. Due to the growth of eastern markets since the late 1990s, as well as their consumption of fossil resources and the gradual closure of Western markets for Russian exporters with an unprecedented strengthening of the sanctions regime, the issue of supply diversification began to be accelerated even more forcefully. Nevertheless, a number of technologies that could contribute to the growth of production and supply of Russian oil and gas are currently difficult to implement, among them the development of hydroplastic fracturing, horizontal drilling, and LNG-related technologies. Nevertheless, with the implementation of diversification and technical and scientific cooperation, including with Asian countries, it is possible to develop these technologies. This study will tell you what obstacles Russian oil and gas expoters face and how to overcome them.
