Republic of Korea, which in a short period of time, the Republic of Korea has transformed from an agrarian backward country into a state with a highly developed economy through intensive economic development. The phenomenon of rapid economic growth in South Korea is called the “Korean Economic Miracle.” The Republic of Korea experienced a period of economic growth during the reign of Park Chung-hee, who was in power from 1963 to 1979. Park Chung-hee is one of the most controversial political figures in Korean historiography, attracting criticism for his chosen authoritarian methods of governing the country. During the research, the following hypothesis was confirmed - whether the influence of Park Chunghee is one of the main factors on the “Korean Economic Miracle” - the rapid economic, political and social development of the Republic of Korea in the 1960s and 70s. Various aspects of the personal leader of the leader on the path of revolutionary transformation of Korean society are considered. An analysis of the reasons and prerequisites for the formation of the character and purpose of Park Chung-hee is carried out.
