Internet Search Queries: Opportunities for Tourism Analysis

The aim of this research is to analyze the domestic tourism industry in Russia based on search query data using time series analysis and econometrics methods. The study aims to understand changes in tourist behavior and preferences, as well as to identify the impact of economic factors on tourism demand. The research utilizes search query data from 2014 to 2024, with a specific focus on the domestic tourism industry in the Republic of Crimea, particularly in the city of Yalta. The analysis is based on time series analysis and econometrics methods, which allow for the identification of trends, seasonality, and the influence of economic factors on tourism demand. The findings of this research will have practical implications for the development of marketing strategies and decision-making in the tourism industry. They will help to understand the current state of domestic tourism in Russia and identify the factors that have the greatest impact on tourism demand. This will enable the government and stakeholders to better adapt their strategies and allocate resources to meet the needs of tourists. In conclusion, this research aims to expand our understanding of the domestic tourism industry in Russia and provide practical recommendations for industry development in the context of changing economic and political conditions.
