The language policy in the North Caucasus has its own peculiarities, taking into account the uniqueness and multinational character of the region. A comparative analysis of modern language policy in the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District in a historical context will help to form an idea of the linguistic situation in the region and the dynamics of language policy. During the analysis of the theoretical part based on the works of domestic and foreign researchers: J. Khames, Penfield S. D. and Hilkhanova E.V., Raevskaya M.M., etc., it was revealed that currently there is no full-fledged study of the dynamics of language policy in the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District. Therefore, a comprehensive study of this issue is necessary. The dynamics of changes can be traced in a comparative analysis, in connection with which two regions were selected: Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia, which have similar historical development, as well as practically the same language groups. The practical part is to conduct 50 interviews (25 in each republic). The main idea is to consider the dynamics of language policy in the communities of the North Caucasus Federal District in the recent period of history (using the example of the Kabardino-Balkarian and Karachay-Cherkess republics).
