The present study is aimed at studying the effect of the doomscrolling consequences on such components of health as physical, psychological, moral and social. The issue of the consequences of excessive monitoring of content, in particular news, on social networks remains uncovered, since in previous studies it was considered either too narrowly or using methods that did not allow to isolate such behavior from external factors as much as possible. In this regard, methods such as the diary method and interviews were used in the current study. A mixed, consistent, qualitative design allows to obtain more relevant data and achieve a deeper understanding of the problem. The infodemic and information saturation concepts are taken as a theoretical framework. The study identified possible causes of doomscrolling, ways to avoid it among avoidant doomscrollers, its effects on the Internet users health, as well as ways to combat this phenomenon. The results obtained made it possible to create a short guide for users with information about the consequences of this phenomenon for the health of young people, as well as relevant ways to combat doomscrolling. In addition, the current research can serve as a basis for further research for a deeper study of the problem. Keywords: doomscrolling, physical health, psychological health, moral health, social health, concept of information saturation, consumption of news content, ways to combat doomscrolling, consequences of doomscrolling for health
