In today's world, digital companies are actively using various methods and strategies to attract customers and increase their profitability. One of these methods is the use of "dark patterns" - specially designed interfaces and designs aimed at manipulating user behavior on the Internet. These patterns can be used to increase sales, collect personal information, or keep users on the site. Research in this area is becoming increasingly relevant in light of the growing role of digital technologies in people's daily lives. They allow us to assess the effectiveness and limitations of the use of "dark patterns" by large digital companies. The relevance of the chosen topic for writing the course work is dictated, first of all, by the sharp increase in the use of technologies related to the Internet in product promotion and sales increase.
