Features of the Visual Language of Korean Movie Posters in Russian Online Cinemas

This study examines the specifics of movie poster development and testing in a rapidly developing market of South Korean cinema in the Russian streaming services industry. The research aims to propose a new typology of visual features for poster adaptation, which would be culturally and psychologically considerate as well as based on empirical quantitative data. To achieve this goal a mixture of quantitative methods is used, including content analysis of both South Korean posters and their Russian adaptations and testing the results in a form of online survey.
