The present study is devoted to the analysis of verse rhythm against the background of "Kolyma Stories" written by V. Shalamov between 1954 and 1962. The study is carried out using linguo-statistical methods, particularly the system "Prosimetron". Despite the growing interest in the figure of this author, there are no academic works on the rhythmics of his works, which explains the relevance of the topic. The aim of this study is to analyse the rhythmic features of Shalamov's prose and poetry on the basis of the obtained statistical data and to explore his creative method, which partially developed during the writing of "Kolyma Stories".
