The study explores the significance of translating literary works, particularly focusing on the genre of science fiction during the New Wave period and Harlan Ellison's short story I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream. This study focuses on four translations made between 1990–1997 years, and delves into the challenges of translating, such as names, conceptually difficult moments and biblical allusions in the story. This research also includes the associated game of the same name, in attempts to understand what can be learned about the translation process through introspection, and also how translating strategies which were used by professional translators impacted decisions made by people who did not have formal training in this area.
