Year of Graduation: 2024

One of the main tasks facing modern cities is the fight against excessive motorization and its negative consequences. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the concept of the 15-minute city gained popularity, becoming the next step in urban planning development. Carlos Moreno, the author of the concept, identified four key dimensions of the 15-minute city: density, proximity, diversity, and digitalization. This study is dedicated to assessing the feasibility of implementing the 15-minute city concept in the cities of the Tel Aviv agglomeration by analyzing their compliance with the 15-minute city requirements, as well as analyzing pedestrian and bicycle accessibility. As a result, the cities and their parts were divided into four groups based on the feasibility of implementing the 15-minute city concept, and measures were proposed for the full implementation of 15-minute cities.
