Soft Skills in the Hospitality and Information Technologies Industries: View of Managers and Employees

The purpose of the study is to investigate the value of soft skills. The information technology and hospitality sectors were chosen for examination. Studying soft skills is essential because they play a crucial role in the hiring process and future employment. The study examined ways to measure and track soft skills as well as various teaching methods for their acquisition and development. An important aspect of the work was the study of the view of managers and linear workers of the chosen industries. As a result, both industries recognize the value of soft skills. However, there are differences in what skills are considered most important for work by the managers and linear staff. In addition, it was found that training to develop soft skills is not widespread and is used quite rarely. Moreover, advanced soft skills measurement and tracking methods are also used by only a small number of companies.
