A. A. Fet’s Lyrical pantheon and his early poems have repeatedly become the subject of research. This research endeavours to examine Fet’s early work against the background of poetic production of the early 19th century, to consider literary traditions and cultural borrowings in Fet’s early poems, to prove not only the tendency of the “repetition” in the poet’s texts, but also the uniqueness of his motifs and images. Therefore, this study is a complete analysis of Fet’s first book of poetry and early poems and their relation to literary traditions and other poets. The anticipated results of this thesis open up the prospect of further research on Fet’s early works and the study of Fet’s relationship with other authors through the texts.
