The Impact of Urban Morphology on Crime: the Case of London

This study aims to apply methodologies from environmental psychology and environmental criminology to assess the relationship between the physical parameters of the urban environment (morphology) and crime. The research employs spatial and statistical analysis methods, including the aggregation of spatial data and subsequent calculation of correlations with the construction of a regression model. The outcome of this work can be seen as the actualization of using environmental psychology metrics in crime assessment and the enhancement of existing CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) practices to improve preventive measures against urban crime.
