The education sector is becoming one of the leading areas in which various generative artificial intelligence technologies are used, including chatbots and other services for generating original content (Clarizia et al., 2018). Artificial intelligence models have the potential to bring major changes to learning and teaching: improving educational outcomes and improving the quality of knowledge transfer, reducing inequality (Crompton & Burke, 2023, p. 2). AIEd provides potential opportunities, but also creates new challenges, such as making the transition to personalized learning, challenging the role of the teacher, and developing new educational products (Baker et al., 2019). The study explores how students perceive the integration of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in education, highlighting its potential benefits and challenges. Results show that students generally have a positive attitude towards GenAI, with a majority expressing interest in learning how to use GenAI services at their university. The study also identifies factors like knowledge level, frequency of use, and academic performance that influence students' attitudes towards GenAI.
