Year of Graduation: 2024

The work is devoted to the study of aspects of reactions to the social context by people who left Russia after the start of the SMO (Special Military Operation), and the manifestation of the transgenerational process. As a result, the emotional and behavioral response of respondents to a socially significant event, including the decision to leave, was studied, and the histories of their families were examined for experience in coping with family and social stress. Patterns of the transgenerational process in the respondents' perception of the onset of SMO are presented, which include behavioral and emotional reactions to the breakdown of close relationships, fantasies about a threat from other people when expressing one's own opinion, the influence of the environment on the formation of values and beliefs, and the perception of departure as forced when one does not want to leave place of residence. This work reveals the phenomenon of perception of a socially stressful event and the presence of a transgenerational process in it. The results of the study may be useful for systemic family psychotherapists, as well as for disseminating knowledge in society about the multigenerational transmission of trauma.
