Procurement logistics, responsible for managing incoming flows, plays a significant role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of supply chains, as well as in establishing the functioning and increasing the competitiveness of enterprises in a dynamically expanding external environment. In this paper, the features of procurement logistics are considered: the problem of terminological identification, goals and objectives, as well as stages of development. Supplier relationship management and related risks are considered as key areas in the field of ensuring the reliability of supply chains. As a tool for improving procurement logistics management, the concept of segmentation is proposed for consideration, which allows for more conscious and effective interaction with suppliers and risk management. The paper considers the main approaches to segmentation, and also proposes an algorithm that allows you to group suppliers based on synthesized criteria that characterize the reliability of supply and the attractiveness of the purchased resource. The results of the practical application of the methodology allowed us to identify several groups of suppliers, for which recommendations on interaction are also provided.
