Through the integration of serialisation and unique identifiers, track-and-trace systems ensure precise product monitoring at all stages of the supply chain for many product categories, including dietary supplements. In addition, these systems are designed to facilitate a rapid response in the event of quality issues, product recalls or concerns regarding product genuineness and to provide consumers with the necessary protection against counterfeit products. The aim of the project was to align the company's processes associated with the production and distribution of goods within the market to meet current regulatory and technical requirements, which was achieved as a result of the project through the examination of processes and information systems, along with the research of a range of options and technologies required for the subsequent development and successful implementation of a track-and-trace solution. The study includes both the theoretical exploration of the issue background, and based on the comprehensive analysis conducted, the practical implementation of target labelling and traceability processes and the customised solution in line with national legislation and industry best practices based on a comprehensive analysis.
