Student: Gagarin Andrey

Educational Programme: Economics (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2024

The study examines the nonprofit sector of the Russian Federation in terms of its potential for commercialization, which is an increase in the proportion of commercial income in total revenue. The aim of the research is to identify financial, regional, and organizational factors that may influence the profit level of a nonprofit organization. Hypotheses have been formulated regarding the existence and nature of interrelationships between objective indicators describing NPOs. Regression models with fixed effects based on panel data have been evaluated using a database containing income information for more than 13,000 Russian NPOs from 2018 to 2022. Significant factors identified include the volume of state support, donations received, the level of regional well-being, and organizational characteristics such as the legal form and operating period of the NPO.
