Improving the Business Process of Forming Orders of a Metallurgical Company by Modernizing C/4HANA

Background Metallurgical companies operate within a fast-paced and highly competitive industry that requires efficiency in different aspects of their operations. The order intake process stands as the starting point of interaction between the particular company and its customers. Obviously this process involves multiple steps, including order placement, feasibility check, and processing. However, with advancements in technology and the adoption of sophisticated technical solutions like SAP C4HANA, an opportunity to revolutionize and improve this crucial aspect of business operations appears. Problem Statement The order intake process in the metallurgical company currently has a significant challenge in terms of speed, resulting in prolonged lead times and potential delays in order fulfillment. Even with having the integration of SAP C4HANA, the process still has bottlenecks and pain points, creating difficulties in company's ability to respond promptly to customer. Therefore, the main problem addressed in this research is the need to increase the efficiency of the order intake process to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Delimitations of Study While this research aims to address the challenge of increasing the speed of the order intake process, it is important to acknowledge certain limitations and delimitations: The scope of this study is limited to the order intake process within the metallurgical company and its integration with SAP C4HANA. Other aspects of the company's operations, such as production planning and inventory management, are not included to the scope of this research.
