Project Management to Improve the Furniture Purchasing Process in the Organization

Procurement is an essential component of the operation of any organization. It should be a holistic and systemic process that aims to ensure timely receipt of all necessary works and services at the lowest possible cost. The optimization of this business process is crucial for the success of a company. The most efficient way to optimize procurement is the application of project management. The DMAIC approach is one of the most effective for implementing process optimization projects. This approach consists of five stages: define, measure, analyze, improve, control. As part of this diploma work, a DMAIC project was implemented at UEC-STAR JSC to improve its furniture procurement process.
