Smoking in public places is a widespread and pressing problem that scientists have been trying to identify for several years. States incur significant costs due to the harm to people from tobacco use or exposure to tobacco smoke, so reducing the number of violations will reduce costs to the state and increase public health. This study examines the effects of economic and non-economic factors such as gender, age of smoking initiation, banning tobacco use at home, information and opinion about the harms of smoking, presence of stress, presence of higher education, size of fine, joint effect of gender and information about the harms of nicotine use, and income on the decision to smoke in public settings. Based on the analysis of existing studies, hypotheses were proposed, a logistic regression model with the inclusion of joint effects was constructed, and the results of the model were examined. The most influential factors on the probability of smoking were smoker's opinion about harm to society and the joint effects of gender and availability of information about harm to others.
