Global crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, Western sanctions and military conflicts have a significant impact on the Russian economy, including the Perm Region. Hence, there is a need to study the socio-economic system and apply appropriate methods for assessing economic security, since ineffective management in this area could lead to a low level of welfare for the population. This study is aimed at assessing the economic security of the Perm Region. As part of the work, the main threats to the economic development of the region will be identified and measures to improve the situation will be proposed. The assessment methodology will be based on indicators reflecting the key characteristics of the Perm Region. The results of the study can be used by the authorities of the Perm Region to make effective decisions in the field of economic security.
