Student: Baeva Lyudmila

Educational Programme: Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Business Consulting (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2024

The purpose of the final qualifying work is a theoretical and practical analysis of the psychoanalytic nature of the prerequisites for the emergence of conflicts in a group, as well as the role played by the coach himself in this process. The work consists of two chapters, making up a deep theoretical part, supported by empirical research based on practical cases of group work, analyzed from a psychodynamic point of view. This allows us to identify the relationship between intrapersonal and interpersonal conflicts, evaluate the conditions under which conflict is formed and born in a group, and explore the manifestations of unconscious communications within the group. Aspects of the coach’s role are also highlighted, attention to which can provide a reliable basis for the coach’s interaction with the group. In the first chapter, the author explores the peculiarities of the formation of conflict in a group from the point of view of psychoanalysis. In the second chapter, the author analyzes practical cases of group work, during which conflicts arose in the group, and the influence of the coach on the dynamics of the group. The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of its use within group work for the timely identification of preconditions for the emergence of conflicts and their support by a coach in order to reduce the risk of premature termination of the group’s work or the negative impact of the conflict on its further work.
