Improvement of Business Processes in a Service Logistics Center through the Implementation of Information Technologies

This study focuses on improving the business processes of a service logistics center through the implementation of information technologies. The objective of the study is to enhance the business processes of the service logistics center by implementing information technologies, which will result in increased operational efficiency of the warehouse, reduced impact of human factors, and accelerated goods processing. To achieve this goal, existing cases and relevant literature were reviewed, the operations of a modern warehouse were examined, a service logistics center was visited for an in-depth understanding of current business processes, efficiency assessment metrics were identified, and current and target business processes were modeled using BPMN 2.0 notation. Changes in the target business processes due to the implementation of a warehouse management system accelerated warehouse operations and increased operational efficiency, indicating the success of the study.
