Educational Programme: Philosophy (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2024

In this final qualifying work, the author makes the object of his research the “women’s issue” in Russian literature and philosophy of the 19th-20th centuries, in order to determine its historical and philosophical origins, which imposed on society the stereotype of the “second-class” status of women. The author identifies the main ways to overcome gender discrimination in Russia, presented in the ethical and socio-philosophical concepts of Russian thinkers. The work presents philosophical and literary discussions that change public consciousness regarding the perception of women. The relevance and significance of the “women’s issue” is highlighted, along with previous experience of its resolution in modern times. Methods of struggle associated with revolutionary activity, literary propaganda and state policy, which influenced the change in the worldview of society in the past, brought the desired freedom to a woman and opened her eyes to her enslaved position, are effective to this day.
