Development of a Corporate Data Warehouse Model to Support BI Reporting of a Large Bank based on Apache Hadoop

The dependence of various companies and organisations to store and analyse large amounts of data in the fastest possible time leads to the need for new data warehousing models. The purpose of this paper is to develop an efficient data warehouse model to support analytical reporting in a large commercial bank. For this purpose, the following tasks were performed within the framework of the work: 1.A study of the peculiarities of working with data in the Russian banking market was carried out; 2. The market of BI-tools for analytical reporting support was analysed; 3. The business process of work with reporting in the bank under consideration has been investigated; 4. The technological stack of the organisation for the development of the data warehouse model was studied; 5. Developed the requirements for the data warehouse model; 6. Model design approaches were investigated and the most appropriate one was selected; 7. An efficient data warehouse model was designed and tested. As a result, thanks to the newly developed solution, there were improvements in the bank's business processes and redistribution of resources. This will allow the bank to quickly analyse the collected data and respond to changes, which is quite important for its functioning.
