Agile Development of an Automated KPI Dashboard for Commerce Department of the United Breweries Holding LLC

This action research evaluates the integration of agile practices into the Rational Unified Process software development methodology by assessing their impact on the development process of an automated KPI reporting tool. It seeks to address the need for flexible, effective processes of software development in contemporary organisational setups, with a contribution toward the discourse on software engineering practices and organisational agility. Moreover, it aims to fill a notable research gap by employing a multi-grade fuzzy approach to assess the level of agility of software development processes. Results point to the effectiveness of integrating agile practices within RUP and reveal benefits of the automated KPI reporting tool, such as heightened employee engagement and productivity.
