The study is dedicate to examining the relationship between the level of behavioral problems in younger school-aged children (7-10 years old) and the level of functionality in post-divorce co-parenting, as well as the level of divorce completion. The relevance of the topic is justifyed by the high divorce rate in Russia and the significant impact of divorce on children. It is important to maintain contact between the child and both parents after the divorce. The results of the study showed that the level of functionality in post-divorce co-parenting is associated with the frequency of behavioral problems in younger school-aged children. The higher the level of co-parenting functionality, the lower the level of behavioral problems in children. At the same time, the level of divorce completion is only partially related to the frequency of behavioral problems in children. The main conclusions include confirmation of the hypothesis about the relationship between the level of functionality in post-divorce co-parenting and the frequency of behavioral problems in children, partial confirmation of the hypothesis about the influence of the level of divorce completion, as well as the identification of an indirect relationship between divorce completion and behavioral problems through the level of functionality in post-divorce co-parenting.
