Educational Programme: Data Science and Business Analytics (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 9

Year of Graduation: 2024

This paper deconstructs the architecture and development of an innovative application designed for virtualizing the execution of transactions on the Solana blockchain. This system enables the execution of smart contracts at native speeds while evaluating the results in a controlled environment, isolated from the live blockchain. This approach not only ensures that performance is maximised but also maintains the integrity of the blockchain data during testing phases. The study meticulously explores the design choices, development challenges, and technological implementations involved in creating such a virtualization tool. Furthermore, the application forms the foundation for a comprehensive testing suite designed to rigorously assess the performance and security of smart contracts before they are deployed on the Solana network. This work aims to contribute to the blockchain development community by providing a robust framework for testing and validation, enhancing the reliability of smart contracts through meticulous pre-deployment evaluations.
