This work is devoted to the development of a competitive strategy of a product for company “X”. The company's product discussed in the article is the information system "Radar". It is a complex information system that was put into operation a relatively short time ago, which is the reason why the product, although it has a mature appearance, still needs adjustments and a clear development plan for a successful entrance to the market and acquiring additional value for customers. At the same time, there are various solutions from competing companies, as well as substitute services, which makes the environment highly competitive. The goal of this work is to create a competitive development strategy for the “Radar” platform for company “X”. To achieve the it, tasks were formulated, the implementation of which contributed to the achievement of the final goal. Since the service under study is a platform, some specific features of digital platforms were studied. There were also some other important tasks such as: studying the characteristics of interest of the main user groups, analyzing the functionality of the “Radar” platform, identifying the main factors of value for customers, studying the characteristics of the product and competing services. The final task was to formulate a strategic plan for the development of an information system to successfully compete with other services on the market. This work also has some important results. Firstly, a lot of information was collected about the goals, objectives and values of the two main groups of platform clients - startups and investors. Analysis of the literature made it possible to point out user expectations from the system. Secondly, an analysis of the external competitive environment and an analysis of macro factors and trends affecting the company’s industry were also carried out. Thirdly, the “Radar” system was characterized, its strengths and weaknesses were identified, that were compared with the parameters of competing services. Based on the data obtained, it was possible to formulate the strategic development initiatives, which are the basis of the competitive strategy. These initiatives can be divided into three groups: initiatives to eliminate problems, develop functionality and strengthen the brand. This work also proposes the plan of implementation, as well as cost calculations and forecasting of some positive effects. The strategy should increase customer satisfaction, straighten SEO and brand of “Radar”, attract more investors to the platform, and eliminate customer pains that were revealed. It is expected that the combination of these positive effects will increase the competitiveness of the service. The analysis of the demands and tasks of startups and investors, as well as trends in the industry of digital platforms that provide services to these categories of clients, can be valuable for companies that provide similar services. However, this work is aimed specifically at creating a competitive strategy for the product of company “X”. This is why it takes into account some specific features of the “Radar” platform; therefore, the recommendations of this work are applicable only in company “X” and cannot be considered universal.
