Working with the Psychic Multiverse in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

Student: Dyakonov Denis

Educational Programme: Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2024

In the final qualifying work "Working with the psychic multiverse", an attempt is made to understand how this issue can be approached. The concept of a psychic multiverse is defined and the expediency of using this concept is justified. The starting point of the research was the ideas of Matte Blanco I. about the unconscious as infinite sets. Andre Green's works on the work of negativity and the meaning of triplicity were reviewed. Inspired by the ideas of Matte Blanco I., Green A., Deni P., Rassokhin A.V. and other authors, it was possible to theoretically discover and practically confirm the existence of ten universal types of the primal scene. The concepts of mental shelters and the space of the game are also compared, the issues of time in psychoanalysis are considered and it is shown that binary logic is often unsatisfactory for working in the paradigm of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
