Nowadays, research in the field of creativity is considered to be quite popular, as this phenomenon permeates almost all aspects of modern life. Manifestation of creativity in the language led to the emergence of the term "linguocreativity". The article examines one of the aspects of this linguistic phenomenon, specifically in modern American literature. The theoretical part of the work analyzes current approaches to understanding linguistic creativity and its manifestations at different levels of the language system. Thus, it analyzes specific examples of "creative linguistic products" at grapho-phonological, morphological, lexico-semantic, syntactic, and metaphorical levels. For the practical part of the study, the research material was the following works of the contemporary American writer, John Green: "The Fault in Our Stars", "Paper Towns", "An Abundance of Katherines", and "Looking for Alaska". Through these works, various strategies and tactics were revealed that the writer used to add creativity to his texts.
