Modeling Blockchain-based Business Processes Using Petri Nets

The subject of the study is the features of modeling of business processes based on blockchain technologies. The purpose of the work is to improve and adapt the method of modeling business processes using Petri nets, taking into account the specifics of blockchain technologies. The first chapter presents the analysis of blockchain technology application in business, the specifics of business process modeling using Petri nets. In the second part, the requirements to the developed models are defined, and then, using different methods, the business processes based on blockchain are modeled. Based on the developed models, an algorithm for designing such business processes using Petri nets is compiled. The third chapter analyzes the compiled algorithm by solving the case, corrects the deficiencies found, and identifies weaknesses for further improvement. The practical and scientific value of the work is due to the interest of companies in adapting their business processes to blockchain technologies, but the lack of clear and visual algorithms and example models.
