Mobile Application Development to Inform Students about Classes in Sports Sections and Student Organizations

Student: Donetskikh Margarita

Supervisor: Marina Sakhipova

Faculty: Faculty of Management

Educational Programme: Business Informatics (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2024

In the flow of educational activities, students of HSE in Perm have enough difficulties in following numerous sports sections and their attendance. For each section, several chat rooms have been created on social networks, which distracts students from the main educational curriculum. To optimize the process of informing students about the conduct of classes in sports sections and student organizations, it is necessary to create a mobile application with reliable information about the discipline and training schedule. The graduate qualification work includes three chapters. Within the framework of the first chapter, an analysis of educational activities, norms and rules for conducting sports classes at HSE in Perm was carried out. Using SWOT-analysis methods, five existing solutions were analyzed. Functional and user requirements for the mobile application are described. In the second chapter, the database of the mobile application in SQLite was designed. Three preliminary diagrams were constructed for the main user groups: "Teacher", "Student", and "Administrator," as well as four activity diagrams for the main processes: "Registration", "Login", "Viewing the schedule", "Viewing and adding a section to favorites". In the third chapter, user interface layouts are illustrated and the process of developing a mobile application is described. The total volume of work is 85 pages.
