The focus of the study is on the psychological state of women whose husbands were mobilized in the autumn of 2022 to participate in a special military operation and who remain on the front to this day. The study analyzed the characteristics of these women's psychological state, their stress coping strategies, and parent-child relationships. Considerable attention was paid to studying the predictors of anxiety and psychological well-being, as well as establishing links between the women's psychological state, their relationships with children, and their choice of coping strategies. The results showed that most of the women have been living in constant anxiety about their husbands for a year and a half. Those among them who seek support from close ones, actively tackle everyday tasks, find positives even in this situation, and maintain close relationships with their children feel less anxious and more content. Parental stress is higher among those women who feel worse physically and emotionally. In such families, there is a risk of increased symbiosis or excessive distance between the mother and the children. In the context of providing psychological assistance, it is important to develop skills for emotional self-regulation, use proactive coping strategies, and prevent disruptions in parent-child relationships.
