The purpose of this study is to simplify user interaction with information on tracking the current location of cargo transported by marine vessels by providing an interactive prototype of the proposed digital service. To achieve this goal, an approach to the development of information systems based on user centered design (UCD) was used. Various methods were used in this work, including competitor analysis, expert interviews, card sorting and usability testing to design and evaluate the proposed maritime cargo tracking information service. The results of this study indicate that the designed and proposed prototype of the service is convenient to use for the target audience and it can increase the efficiency of the process of tracking maritime cargo transportation by employees and customers of logistics companies.
