Key Success Factors of Digital Transformation in a Meat Industry Company

Nowadays digital technologies are very important. They are often used in business: for data analytics and visualization, for decision-making, for calculations etc. In the twenty-first century digital transformation (the next step after digital technologies) is becoming more popular. Digital transformation is not just a usage of digital technologies in business, it is a fundamental change of business: a change of a business-model, business-logic. During digital transformation several parts of a business are changed, for example, culture, strategy, structure and processes etc. While being a complex process, digital transformation gives some benefits to business (for example, process optimization). Digital transformation is a complex tool therefore it requires a lot of effort in order to be implemented. According to many scientific papers, digital transformation is often unsuccessful, ineffective. Therefore, a lot of papers concerning digital transformation are published, for example, there are papers about success factors of digital transformation. However, there are not any papers about digital transformation success factors for the Russian meat industry. Therefore, this work aims to identify them. According to different sources, Russian meat industry is constantly developing nowadays. Moreover, a lot of companies start to implement digital technologies and digital transformation. Therefore, this work is relevant for the Russian meat industry. The goal of this work is the identification of managerial digital transformation success factors for meat industry enterprises in the Russian Federation and most important connections between them. Here are the objectives: 1. To identify the list of generalized DT success factors through literature review. 2. To identify factors specific to the Russian meat industry. 3. To identify the most important connections between them. This work, on the one hand, is significant and relevant for the science and, on the other hand, it is significant and relevant for the Russian meat companies.
