Russian News Discourse Segmentation in the Military Conflict Context: Narrative Differences

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the Russian news landscape during the military conflict. The research objective is to investigate that, in times of conflict, governments try to create a unified information space. However, due to digitalization and the rapid pace of news dissemination, this is not always possible. Consequently, the modern Russian media landscape is composed of several distinct segments that present different perspectives on the same events, hindering the unification of news coverage. Within the framework of this study, was achieved the identification of Russian news discourse segments and their differences at the thematic and emotional levels in published news. Also key narratives within the most popular topics was identified.
