Final Grade: 9

Year of Graduation: 2024

We explore the phenomenon of “fear of public speaking” from the point of view of psychoanalysis and understand how such affects as neurotic fear and narcissistic shame relate to it (fear). Both of these affects do not exist separately, but in interaction with each other. The research hypothesis is that neurotic fear and narcissistic shame are the main problems of public speaking in psychoanalytic dynamics. From the point of view of practical significance, the materials and practical recommendations of our work will be useful for psychoanalytic therapists working with patients involved in public speaking.
