Office and Remote Work: Comparative Analysis of Job Satisfaction

This research study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of job satisfaction among employees working in traditional office settings versus those working remotely. The study will investigate factors such as work-life balance, communication with colleagues, flexibility & autonomy, commuting time & costs reducing, job fulfillment and overall job satisfaction to determine whether there are differences between the two work environments. To achieve the study's goal, quantitative methods were used and Google Forms were chosen as our research instrument. The sample consisted of 154 participants, including remote and office workers from various industries, mostly in Russia. This varied sample aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how different work arrangements impact job satisfaction. The results of this research aim to provide valuable perspectives for discussions about the future of work and the best work settings to improve employee well-being and productivity. For completing the study independent samples t-test was chosen to show the difference between two independent groups – remote workers and office workers. The results of the study showed that there is impact of remote work on the job satisfaction of employees.
