This master's thesis examines the relationship between eating disorders and female sexuality from the psychoanalytical point of view using the example of D. Aranofsky's film "Black Swan". In order to study this topic and find the relationship between these two types of behavior, it is important in the first chapter of our work to analyze the specifics of sexuality and eating behavior in the context of a psychoanalytic approach. In the second part of the study, we will try to build a relationship between the two types of behavior using the example of the film “Black Swan” directed by Darren Aronofsky. The practical significance of this topic is due to the increasing number of complaints from patients with eating disorders. The difficulties of dealing with these requests lie in the specifics of the diagnosis of such diseases and in the special mental status of such patients, as well as in the fact that eating behavior is a special form of relationship with one's own body. And such relationships are especially conflicted and ambiguously built in general between a woman and her body. Building the relationship between eating behavior and female sexuality within the framework of a psychoanalytic approach seems to be the most interesting and practically significant topic. It is important to note that in this work we will try to analyze how the development of eating disorders is related to psychosexual development. And in our opinion, there is a relationship between how a child develops from the point of view of his psychosexuality and how his relationship with his body and food is built. In order to consider both these topics from different angles, we will highlight all kinds of factors that can influence the development of sexual and eating behavior in a woman's life: her unique physiology, psychological characteristics, and socio-cultural context. And we will try to combine the psychoanalytical view of both these topics and discover the interrelationships between them.
