In the modern world, online courses are taking an increasing place in the field of teaching foreign languages, which can be used both as an addition to the main training program and as an independent tool for knowledge transfer. At the same time, due to the fact that in recent decades the role of a foreign language in Russian society has transformed from a compulsory subject in schools and universities into an important tool for achieving personal goals, online courses for special purposes such as relocation, adaptation, study and work in another country are becoming increasingly in demand. This article is devoted to the creation of an online French language course for the integration of Russian-speaking students into the French-speaking environment. In the course of the work, the basic principles of creating online training courses were described, their classification was given, and the peculiarities of teaching foreign languages through online courses were studied, in particular, the peculiarities of teaching French were touched upon. The result of the work was a finished product — an online course, which in the future can be used as an independent means of learning French by Russian-speaking students.
