In recent years, the concept of “neurodiversity” has gained widespread recognition. It posits that neurological differences, traditionally viewed as psychological disorders, actually represent natural variations of the norm. Neurodivergent people, such as those with obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and dyslexia, perceive and interact with the world differently than neurotypical people. However, neurodiversity, while offering unique advantages, also comes with its own set of challenges and needs. Neurodivergent people have neurological differences that affect their cognition, social interaction, and sensory processing, which in turn can negatively impact their academic performance, career opportunities, and relationships with others. This research aims to contribute to the development of solutions that assist with neurodivergent conditions. The primary objective of this thesis is to conduct UX research in the area of neurodiversity and to design a prototype for neurodivergent users based on the principles of cognitive behavioral and exposure therapy.
