In this paper we identify the main locations, social institutions and proper names in songs of the 60s-90s. We believe that this will help to form a general picture of the world, which is conveyed by musical compositions of these four decades. We apply the method of named entities recognizing (NER) on the material of a corpus of Soviet pop songs. The corpus had already been collected by the time the work was done. For a more detailed immersion in the research, many works on linguistics and cultural studies were read, material on the life of the Soviet man and the resulting concept of "Homo Soveticus" was selected. In the practical part of the work, the Natasha library was used to identify named entities relevant to our study. This was followed by an analysis of each decade. The paper presented examples of Soviet songs, their lyrics and informative references. The final part of the research demonstrated the trends of preservation of Soviet song culture.
