The relevance of the work lies in the high innovation of blockchain technology with a wide range of applications in various financial industries and beyond, with the main focus on simplifying financial services and reducing costs. This work can be used as a variant of the organization and functioning of any field of activity where it is supposed to store and transfer a large amount of information. Therefore, the possibility of introducing blockchain into the insurance industry was analyzed and evaluated. The novelty of the research is in the proposal of a model for improving the business processes of the insurance sector through blockchain technology. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that the results of simulation modeling carried out as part of the work can be used to implement distributed ledger technology in insurance companies.
